Awareness

My desire to be a free human put me in an endless war with the traditional and conservative society of Iran. The whole life, I had to show different personalities in different societies. My face at work, in the family, in a party or at school was completely different. I always would show the face that would be acceptable by that society. As a result, I always had to lie about my sexual orientation, religious beliefs or my habits.

Who am I and where am I going? I have started to ask these questions of myself while I had to be in lockdown because of Pandemic. This situation gave me an opportunity to stop the materialistic world and start an inner trip. "Awareness" is a personal long-term documentary project of abstract pictures which I see in this trip.
